AWID is an Independent Water Producer, investing in and operating water and wastewater assets with sound experience developing Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) under various business models such as Build Own Transfer (BOT), Build Own Operate (BOO), and full concessions. AWID services can cover the entire lifecycle of a project developing greenfield projects under various financing models, or work on optimizing and enhancing existing assets under a long-term contract Takeover-Operate-Transfer (TOT) model. AWID expertise includes the design, engineering, financing, implementation, and O&M of water infrastructure assets, which makes it the perfect partner for developing and maintaining efficient water assets over the long-term.

With strong shareholders, technical, financial and management capabilities, and a mission to enhance climate-resilient water assets, AWID mobilizes capital and expertise to ensure a more water-secure Africa, aligning with the UN Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs). Our services and projects are socially, environmentally, economically and financially sustainable enabling economic development and maximizing impact on the communities and ecosystems we operate within. Working closely with decision makers and leaders across key African countries, AWID has an existing portfolio of successful water assets under PPP and B2B models, that includes operations in Rwanda and Egypt.
