Rami Ghandour
CEO Metito Utilities
Rami Ghandour is the CEO of Metito Utilities, where he has introduced and managed the company’s concession business across more than 15 countries worldwide since 1999.
He joined Metito Group in 2004 and founded Metito Utilities as an independent entity specializing in investment, development, and long-term operation & maintenance of water and wastewater concessions. Under Rami’s leadership, Metito Utilities has delivered transformative projects globally, solidifying its reputation as a trusted partner in Public-Private Partnership (PPP) agreements and other innovative water infrastructure initiatives.
Prior to joining Metito, Rami was a process engineer and project manager at Bechtel in London, and a management consultant with the Boston Consulting Group in New York.
Rami holds an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management from the Wharton School, and MEng, MA, and BA degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge.

Chris Chijiutomi
Managing Director and Head of Africa - BII
Chris Chijiutomi is the Managing Director and Head of Africa at BII. He joined BII in 2017 as Investment Director in the Infrastructure Equity team, before going on to head the business and was promoted in 2022 as an MD, covering both Africa and Pakistan.
He was promoted to Managing Director and Head of Africa in 2023, leading BII’s operations in the continent.
He is on the board of some of BII’s landmark infrastructure investments including Globeleq, a key player in unlocking Africa’s renewable potential and Gridworks, a pioneering development company he helped set up, that invests in Africa’s electricity transmission and distribution networks.
Prior to joining BII, Chris was a founding partner of a West Africa focused Infra Fund based in Nigeria. Chris has accumulated 20 years of infrastructure experience gained in Europe and Africa across energy, water, wastewater and transport sectors.

Walid Madwar
Chief Commercial Officer, Metito Utilities
Walid is leading business development activities and overseeing asset management at Metito Utilities, bringing over 25 years of experience in the water and wastewater industry.
With extensive international experience across the MENA, CIS, Balkan, and African regions, combined with expertise in project finance and management, Walid has been instrumental in driving Metito Utilities’ success in developing Public-Private-Partnership projects and achieving financial close in these markets.
Before joining Metito, Walid managed the hydrogen generation business for Stuart Energy in North and South America, based in Canada.

Saad Ul Uslam
Investment Director, Infrastructure Equity - BII
Saad Ul Islam joined BII in 2016 and is an Investment Director in the equity team, within the Infrastructure and Climate group, with responsibilities for leading renewable power, transmission and distribution, and water utility investments in Africa and Pakistan and is the co-lead for WASH sector at BII.
Saad has over 15 years of experience in investing power and infrastructure. Prior to joining BII, Saad worked for HgCapital as an investment executive, focused on investing in renewable energy projects in Europe. Saad started his career at Citigroup where he advised on infrastructure and energy projects in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Saad has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics.

Sachin Kodolikar
Chief Operations Officer, Metito Utilities
Sachin is a professional in water and water treatment with extensive experience of over 32 years. Sachin also specialized in PPP business model.
Management

Dr. Ernest Kofi Poku
Executive Director - AWID
Dr. Poku is the Executive Director for AWID. He is responsible for developing climate-smart water projects across Africa. In this role, he works with Development Finance Institutions, Governments, Banks, and technical and environmental, and social teams to develop large-scale high-impact water projects across the continent.
He has lived and worked in multiple countries in Europe, Asia, and Africa and worked across the energy sector in a range of technical and commercial roles. He previously worked for Scatec ASA as a Senior Vice President with a focus on developing hydropower assets across Africa and has extensive experience in both the oil and gas and renewable energy sectors.
He is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the Energy Institute and the Institute of Directors, and also a Chartered Director.
Dr. Poku holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Bristol, UK, an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management in the Netherlands and PhD in healthcare from the University of Cranfield, UK.
